The Pirates are coming

This year, the Pirates of Penzance will bring music, fun and laughter to this lovely Theatre.

For those who dont know it, the Pirates of Penzance is one of Gilbert and Sullivans most popular shows. It has Policemen, Pirates and some stunning music, all set on the beach and in the ruins of a stately home.

The Society, who have been running for over 50 years, continue to bring some amazing talent to the town. We are very proud to have Dan Stamford back with us, after his incredible performance of the Hunchback of Notre Dame in Harrogate earlier this year. His leading lady in this show will hopefully have a happier ending! Cat Nuttall is back with the Society after being away for a few years, and brings her beautiful soprano voice! Alongside our regular extremely talented cast, we are very excited to also have back with us, one of Yorkshires leading patter men - Graham Weston.

With both the musical and the artistic direction once again in the capable hands of Oliver Longstaff, the cast are already well into rehearsals and can't wait to bring this show to the stage.

The performances are on the 4th to 6th June at 7.30 and the 7th June at 6pm. Please note, we are unable to have a matinee performance this year due to the Bed Race, so hope the earlier time of 6pm will meet the needs of everyone!
